Our Approach

We intentionally slow down to encourage mindfulness, kindness, and social connection, while letting children’s natural curiosity guide their learning.

Key Principles:

  • Nature Immersion: Daily time outdoors connecting with the natural world

  • Flow Learning & Authentic Play: Learning that follows curiosity and joy

  • Mindfulness & Social Growth: Cultivating empathy, cooperation, and self-awareness

Emergent Curriculum

Our curriculum is flexible and child-led, allowing learning to unfold organically each day. Teachers observe interests and questions, encouraging exploration and inquiry.

A distinctive feature of our program is the integration of a Scottish storyboard/storyline, which:

  • Uses storytelling to connect children with nature, culture, and local heritage

  • Encourages creativity, narrative thinking, and collaborative learning

  • Provides a framework for integrating multiple learning experiences into an ongoing story

Teachers are guides and role models, actively engaging with children and modeling curiosity and care for the environment. They:

  • Use inquiry-based teaching strategies

  • Make careful observations and document learning

  • Support each child’s individual growth
