The Little Wing Story
Amy Manning and her daughter Claire Manning have called Ridgefield home since 1995. In 2019, they founded Little Wing Nature School with a simple idea: to create a screen-free, nature-based environment where children could slow down, explore, and grow at their own pace.
At Little Wing, learning happens through curiosity and play. Children engage with the natural world, develop social-emotional awareness, and build confidence, kindness, and resilience. From the very first day, the joy, curiosity, and connection among the children have reminded us why we started this journey. Today, Little Wing is proud to be Ridgefield’s first nature-based children’s learning community, supporting families and nurturing hearts and minds in a world that often moves too fast.
